After touring the Tower of London we were hungry and although there are a couple of take out eateries right next to the Tower that looked good, we wanted an indoor seating area. We stumbled upon this eatery.
With the Tower ticket you get a discount on the fish and chips plate (includes a soft drink).
The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good.we had a good lunch in order to continue sightseeing.
Try it! -

Pretty standard fare. Not as much of a tourist trap as I thought it would be, being across from the Tower of London. The fish and chips come with a very large piece of fish and generous amount of fries. Get this takeaway if you can, since it is half the price of eating it sit down. Since we were looking for a place to rest our weary feet after spending many hours at the Tower, we opted to eat in. We tried the peri peri chicken, peri peri chicken burger, regular beef burger, and the chicken and mushroom pie. Prices are a little high but not too extreme, and they're cash only, so keep that in mind.

Good little spot to rest and have a break from the crowds visiting the Tower of London. There is outdoor seating (simple table and chairs) and they do serve beer (because how can you have fish & chips w/o a beer?!). :)

We stopped into this diner for a bite to eat after touring the Tower of London. We ordered the Fish and Chips and were impressed by the large piece of fish and amount of fries. The restaurant is casual with seating on benches at tables. They only accept cash so you need to be sure to have enough on hand. The take out price (7) was half the price of sitting inside (12) the diner. We paid the extra to sit inside because we were tired, but the cost was a bit pricey for the amount you got. The location is handy but that's about all.

My family and I were very excited to try fish and chips since we were visiting from the US. The only reason I'm giving them even one star is because the food was good. The service was terrible. No one greeted us once we were sat for at least ten minutes. Our server took so long to get us water, and our food came out before we all even had water. Our food was good, once it got here we realized not all of us even had forks, and since our server seemed to never stop by our table, we resorted to sharing forks in order to eat. We had to flag her down after we were sitting there for 20 minutes after we'd finished eating for our check, and then we had to look for her again after putting down our card. She then told us that they were only accepting cash and that whoever sat us told us that, which was false. None of us had cash, and she just said (rudely) oh well you have to go to an ATM. Luckily we found one easily but they really should have been more careful. My sisters tried to use the bathroom before we left, and it was so gross that we decided not to use it. There was urine on the floor and looks like it hadn't been cleaned in forever. It completely ruined the experience of getting fish and chips in London for us. Stay away.
